Hi there!

I am a photographer, writer, and multimedia storyteller based in Asheville, NC. I’ve been making pictures since I was in middle school, when I joined the photography club with a group of friends. Most of my earliest photos were of them in the locker-lined halls and scenes around the home where I grew up in rural Michigan.

I was a photojournalist at my college newspaper in Chicago and worked in public radio after graduating, where I produced and reported multimedia stories for the podcast and program Curious City. Here, I developed my skills in engagement journalism; feature-length storytelling and editing; and digital and audio production. My reporting and production work has been featured on WBEZ, NPR, and broadcasted on All Things Considered.

Today, I mostly document the people, spaces, and experiences that make up my own life. I’m currently working on a book for my personal project It’s Always Something that I began in 2022.

A few of my photos were published in Understory: A Digital Zine for Relief in Western North Carolina through Loblolly Press in 2024.
